Slide appeared December 11th at the Annenberg Center of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. This was part of Slide's Christmas Tour and also part of The Annenberg's very popular Irish Music Series. This very talented group hails from Ireland and has performed in venues across the world.
The show was excellent and energizing! Their website describes them as a band of Contemporary and Traditional Irish Music. Surely they shine on both.
Christmas Songs included Fairy Tale of New York and other Christmas favorites woven in to the traditional reels. One highlight was when all sang Silent Night which the audience was taught to sing along in Gaelic.
A wonderful show it was and I would be sure to see them again if they are in town.
